Born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Beyonce hails from Imo State, Nigeria.
Beyonce is the youngest contestant on Nigerian Idol at 16. The Port Harcourt-based singer’s father is a professional singer and producer, so she’s been exposed to music from a young age, which sparked a passion for a musical career.
At a young age, her love for music blossomed into songwriting. Beyonce has written many songs which she hopes to release as an album someday. ‘Since I was a child, I used to write music,’ she told Netng. ‘My dad is a singer, so I’m pretty sure it’s genetic. I knew since I was a little girl that I wanted to be a singer.’
